Civil Engineering and Design

Civil Engineering at Modern-Engineering has a specialized approach for all your engineering, design and construct-ability for your project. No project is too small to use. Our focus will be helping you succeed with whatever your goals are. Here are some of the following we can assist you with

Foundation design- is the creation of a construction plan for a building foundation. It is a highly specialized function. The foundation is the structural base that stands on the ground and supports the rest of the building. Utilities, such as water supply, waste removal and other utilities are incorporated into the foundation design since most if not all come into the building from underneath the foundation. It also takes into consideration of the overall needs, sizes and finished building to ensure the foundation is adequate.

Site Grading Plan-For any new build, a grading plan is essential to minimize the contours and slopes and prepare the ground for construction. Proper grading ensures there’s a strong base that drains appropriately upon which to build, regardless of the improvements to be made on the land. It also helps mitigate the effects of possible risks to commercial real estate development such as the heavy rains that can cause flooding, erosion or soil instability.

Storm water system-s a tool for managing the runoff from rainfall. Ditches and storm drains do not connect to a treatment system, so everything that flows down the drain goes directly to the nearest water body, ultimately flowing into the ocean. The storm drainage system is separate from the sewer system.

Domestic Water and Sewer Lines- it is important to make sure these lines are sized and suitable to deliver all of you required needs. These lines are run underground typically under the foundation and final paving. These systems include domestic potable water, wastewater/sewage and other utilities.
